Hi!
I have Willem PCB3 and DIL32 to PLCC32 and DIL28 to PLCC32 adapters that I used before without problems but today I'm trying to write AM29F010B-70JF and having problems.
It really drives me crazy...
So, problems are
I can not read ID there is 07F (chips are new)
I can not program them
I can read but i get only 7F (all buffer is full of 7F)
I'm using this Willem for a while and ut worked for following chips 28F512,27c010,27c512 even use TSOP adapter to read some flash memories...but not the 29f010 one.
I try all the software that I can find on the net (willem,siavava...) and non of them reading ID.
I try to solder adapters,willem PCB,take out and put back ICs on PCB,did some measuring.
When selected 29f010 all pins are 4.56V (PIN32 +5V) exept pin 22,31 are 0 and 26 is 3.03V after I switch two dips witch correspond for pin 22 and 31 I get 4.56V on them.
So if someone can give me advice or wants me to measure something again please tell here.

New info:
I put 2 resistors 10k on SELIN and AUTO and now I can read,write and verify 29f010 but only if buffer is empty.For example if I press Read in buffer there is 00 00 00... and then i can write and verify that contents of all zeroes, but if I put only 1 (one) byte other than 00 it will not write, only "programming chip" and it staying there for eternity.

Please someone help here.

Forget to write that I still can not read good ID.I do HW test today once again and all pins are 4.36V exept pin 22 CE# 3.68V.

Check PLCC chip pins , clean pins sideward, check chip from bottom for corner pin status.

Check chip pin 21 - D7 , related lines in adapter. 0FFF FFFF = 7F

Check your modify. here read cannot be changed from 7F to 00 for new chip.
Any actions erase, program , verify are useless without valid ID. Read sometimes can help to find problem, content not reliably usually.

Keep settings as selected for AM29F010. Go Test H/W. Activate on/off 22-CE, check voltage changes on pin 31 (WE) 4.3/0 V. Voltage on pin 22 should be 0V.
Are you checking all signals one by one ?

Use approved version 0.97ja for pcb3

OK!
1.PLCC chip pins i checked 50 times with multimeter and desolder/solder...they are OK.
2.07F problem was because I try it with DIP28 to PLCC32

pin 31 off=0 on=4,36V
an YES I'm checking one by one pin

You said "Voltage on pin 22 should be 0V" but in what state?Did you mean when programming or when i mesuring (from above you can see mesuring values).

In some other post you suggested that voltage on pin 26 A9 should be ~3.7 in my case it is 3.03V.

pin 31 off=0 on=4,36V

Do you apply dipswitches as selected for 29F010 or as selected in Test H/W picture ?
Note , activate pin22, measure pin31
When dipswitches selected for 29F010, pin22 always 0

I apply switches as selected in Test H/W picture.

DIP switches as H/W picture
When pin 22 is activated pin 31 is 0V

Dip switches as 29F010
When pin22 is activated it is 0 but pin 31 is 4.35V
When pin 31 is activated it is 0 and pin22 is 0 also

Keep adapter with chip in programmer. Settings selected for 29F010.
Go Test H/W.
Activate 32-Vcc , and keep activ further.
Measure voltage on PLCC chip pin 32 from top (!), not PLCC socket part of pin 32.
Go for all adresses A0...A16 one by one and measure voltages on related chip pin top.
Activate 22- CE on/off , measure pin31
Activate 24-OE on , measure pin24
Go for all data D0..D7 one by one on/off and measure voltages on related chip pin.
Clear all marks.
Report voltages less than 4V in tests (except A9).
Vpp and adress A17, A18 - no tests.

I allready done that, to see does my PLCC32 adapter is ok and YES everything same like I mesuring on ZIF.

It is PIN to PIN adapter and every pin is OK.First I measure it with multimeter but I believe that it is better to do with H/W Test.
