i would like to erase this chip but when if finish it says erase chip error. what i've to do?

pcb 5.0b
software 98d12c3
no 3,3 jumper on the programmer
chip setted like 29lv800 or en29lv800

it seems there is an erase protection!

why don't you answer me???

Confirm valid ID reply (!) before next actions - read, erase, program.
No valid ID - check chip pins (straight, clean) in socket (look to pins ).
Recheck all jumpers.
