I am trying to program this chip Winbond W25X080 but I am getting this error on programming

Error at 0x00000 chip = 0x00 buffer = 0x02

How I can remove the write protection.

Utility 29C0x0.exe not working: "H/W check failed !"

What is get ID or Autoselect reply ? Device, manufacturer ID and status ?

Ezo, thank you for the answer, I tried the russian manual but unfortunately not working.
This is the id of the chip

I tried both methods with spi_id_winbond and spi_id_winbond2 and Iam getting this result.


I can read the binary file from the chip without problem, but I can't write new file to the chip.
Is there any other method which I can try.

Just to mention that I am not using SPI adapter, or 2k2 resistor. I solder the chip directly with wires.

Your chip has protected sectors.You have to remove protection before erase and program.

What is status of pins 7 and 3 ?

I solder the chip directly with wires.

Not recomended. Apply short wires.

Ezo: As I remember, first time when I started spi_id_winbond.exe the chip was successfully recognized and I was getting this screen

Unprotect Windbond chip - enter 'u'
Protect Windobnd chip - enter 'p'
Exit - enter 'x'

That's the main problem I can't remove the protection.
3 pin WP is directly connected with short wire to pin 7 nc/hold
I am using 5cm wires.
