Problems with EZoFlash+4v4 serial memory modify

Ezo Hello!

For lack of time I can not build version 4v5 and I need flash SPI FLASH 25X80 with 4v4 modified.

I modified the 4v4 version following your post and I could not program the chip.

I have this problem (using version 0.98 d11)

Jumper JP2 in ezoflash 4v4. (3.6 v)
The program use 25xxx SPI FLASH -> Winbond -> W25x80
In ID I get:

Manufacture: 0x00
Device code: 0x00
Status Register: 0x00 0000 0000

I skip this problem and to clear the chip, he says that this deletion correctly, In Blank test the chip is empty.

When programming the chip, all reach 100% i have this message:

Error at 0x000000 chip = 0xFF buffer = 0x61

What is the cause?

Check all connections.
Try with 2.9V option , remove jumpers Jp1..Jp3.
Here is only limited chips tested with ezoflash4v4 serial modify.
I saw you tried with EZoSer.
Is the same problem ?
ID reply is important.
You are able check signals with Test H/W on target chip socket.
Vcc (Vcc, WP,HOLD) , OE/DO (SI, inverse), OE/D1 (SCK), CE (CS) on/off

Just verified W25X40A, W25X80A and W25X16A. EZoSer, 0.98d11, no jumpers Jp1..Jp3. All chips return correct ID.
Check your board. Do you apply chip on SPI socket ?

I will try to record again chip W25X80 with ezoser. I was checking the circuit and I think there is an error. R16 2k2 is not attached to pin 3. I do not know if that's important.



To connect the chip I used the adapter soic8_a1_pcb. "Can I do?



Finally, with Ezoser, this chip how do I set the jumpers? JP3 only?, Or no jumpers J1...J3.

Do this, create wired bridge down. My sample has it, but pcb doc not modified .
Chip may work with unconnected pins3 and 7 to pull-up resistor , but not verified.

It should work with Jp3 (Vcc ~3.5V) or without (~2.9V)
