Test Adapter tsop56b1, compared with the table below, list only the changes from the table
anyway here are the changes that reflected
Pin 1/2/3 return 0 volt
pin4 (A20 off / on / off) should return 3.56 volts, however, returns zero and is the pin 3 to 3.56 volt
Pin 5/6/7/8 return 0 volt
Pin 9 return 3,6 volt
Pin 10 always 0 volt
Pin 12/13/14/15 return 0 volt
Pin 16 return 3,56 volt
Pin 17/18/19/20/21/22 return 0 volt
Pin 32 sempre 3,6 volt
I have not tried to replace the 74HC04 added with modified pcb45 hardware

You can try program with 0.98d8. Don't worry in wrong name (it is SW bug, others should be ok).Adapter TSOP 56B1selected device 28F160B3B
only 98D12C3 responds with the bad id, the 98D8 except the name respond with valid id, the 97D12C3 respond with valid id and valid name.
0.97d12c3 - don't use it. It return correct ID, but will fail in programming due to different adress set. 0.98d12c3 - seems failure in chip or connections from 4014 to parallel port.
Then you are able replace 4014 to 4021. In my test both selections without difference. No experience where 4021 comes important .logic on sockets
all 3sw are working , even cracked version 0.98d8. SW 0.97xxx only for old programmers or latest programmers with jumpers in mode PCB3B (restore all serial register in line).perhaps I have the correct version of the program! ! !
You can remove mods on 4015, then work with SW 0.97d12c3
Voltage level 5.25V looks to high. What is 7805 output voltage ?Test Hardware (my measurements in red and blue)
Table refers to adapter tsop48d2, results not useful.I do not know if it is accurate because the table was referring to the TSOP 56 A1
I can prepare test table for tsop56b1, initially looks tests on adapter not required.

I replaced the 74HC04 added for modify hardware and software 98d12c3 gave me incorrect ID on the chip mentioned above.
I connected pin 14 of the 74HC04, directly to the output of the 7805 and pin 7 to GND
it gives me the correct ID with SW 98d12c3
I tried to read and verify all the chips mentioned in previous posts (AT29C512, 39VF020, AE29F2008, P28F001) and respond positively
with the adapter TSOP56B1 and chip E28F320J3A, I get the correct ID so I choose SW 28F320J3 and I can read the chip but I incorrect verification of chip

select 28F160B3B I tried deleting the first block of 16 Mb and then immediately perform blank test, the program tells me that the chip is not empty, I try to write the same block of 16 Mb but it never starts to write, then interrupt operation
I now also be wrong ID.
I made measurements on the programmer
On the Test H/W enable Vcc-32, OE-24 and D0-13 on and off then measure and control the change of logic level of BU1/11, IC7/8, IC7/9, BU1/2.
of BU1/11 measure 4,52 volt of V1b measure 0,6 volt
of BU1/2, IC4/2, IC4/14 and R5 measure 3.89 volts and not 4.52 volts as voltage of the parallel port
I insert a 100 Ohm resistor between pin 20 and pin 4 of connector bu3, then check with the tester that the current flowing between the collector and emitter of the transistor V2 (V2ke) and measure 0 mA.
I insert a 670 Ohm resistor between pin 21 and pin 4 of connector bu3, then check with the tester that the current flowing between the collector (k) and emitter (e) of the transistor V2 (V2ke) and measure 0 mA.

I went over all the solder on the pins of the socket adapter clean flux and I got the correct ID
then apply the procedure to your nominated:
use sw 98D12C3, ezo4v4 jumpers -Jp2 (+3.6), Jp5
SW select 16bit 28F320J3
- check ID (0x0089 Intel, 0x0016 28F320J3) OK
- read chip (save if necessary)
Split source file in 2 x16Mb(2MB) blocks.
SW select 16bit 28F160B3B
- check ID OK
- erase seems to clear it, but after I reread it and is not blank
- blank check Flash is blank check, reread, and is not empty
- load first 16Mb block
- write/verify
I try to plan, program very quickly, after trying to make the error occurs but
I have not cut line BUS pin 34 to chip, because it does not work on the first block (2MB) and then I have not continued

What is buffer reread buffer content (where differencies from empty 0xFF)
Remove Jp2 (all voltage jumpers Jp1..3 off) and try again. This is to reduce voltage on chip in accepted voltage range (2.7..3.6) . Intel chips erase voltage Vpp is controlled and may fail with voltage out of range. In adapter Vpp=Vcc. Your regulator output 5.3 and with Jp2 chip voltage ~ 3.8V

no JP1, JP2, JP3 and the voltage drops, sometimes under 2.7 volts, and the program gives me error as Vpp Range Error

launch the procedure for Checking Device is Empty, responds to the end Device id Empty
ID check and it's OK, I reread the chip and everything is in FF, reprogrammed by sending a file of 65536 byte, the red progress bar moves quickly when I finished:

Try read with 0.98d8 , where single data output used and extra logic not required .
Replace extra logic 74ACT04 (5V logic !) to 74HC04 (or 4049 , follow log.elements pinout)

Check adress lines A0...A15 from adapter system connector up to target chip pins.
