Settings for AT49LV001N
Hi Mr.Ezo now I'm asking for your help to read and write Flash AT49LV001N , I built the ezoflash version 4.4,the software recognize the programer but i cant set the software, I checked the chip database and 3.3V tsop 32D adapter, but dunno how to configurate the software ,i cant find the AT49LV001N,on the device ,I'm trying with SW version 0.98D12C3 and 0.97D12C3.
I checked the programer with the guide and seems to work ok

Re: Settings for AT49LV001N
Your programmer version 4v4 not compatible with 0.98dxx. I recomend to use approved version 0.97jaI'm trying with SW version 0.98D12C3 and 0.97D12C3.
SW 0.97ja, select chip AT49F001Flash AT49LV001N
Set jumpers Jp2 (+3.6V), Jp4
Check valid get ID reply 0x1F Atmel, 0x05 AT49F001(N)
Re: Settings for AT49LV001N
Ok Mr. Ezo now I am running SW version 0.97ja
select chip AT49F001
set jumper JP2(+3.6V), Jp4
Check valid get ID reply 0x1F Atmel, 0x05 AT49F001(N)
I got this reading:
Manufacture 0x00 [....]
Device code 0x11 Nothing (clear)
The programmer seems to read ok and gives me that message

Re: Settings for AT49LV001N
Important to have valid ID reply. Wired connection (length) to chip may cause problem.
Please recheck/scan all lines between programmer bus and related chip pins , no shorts and correct.
Check programmer in test H/W mode for all signals one by one and measure voltage, read guides.

Re: Settings for AT49LV001N
Mr.Ezo i was testing the programmer sw).97ja Jp1,jp2,jp3 (5vmode)
Vcc32 1vpp Bu4/37 12.15v 3.7v red nad yellow Led
A22 BU4/36 no change
12-0A to A18-31 no changes
Vcc32 BU3/20 ok 5v 0v
an all others dont work but I got a weird reading on BU3/12 i have 4 v all the time no switch or some
I rechecked all jumpers no shorts or bad traces ,it was working (from A22 to A18-31)before only OE-24 wasn't working at all but suddenly stopped to work(from A22 to A18-31)

Re: Settings for AT49LV001N
Check lines from BU1/14 to R15 and IC5/15 no shorts . Recheck OE-24 and voltage BU1/14.0E-24 no changes i have 5V all the time no switching IC7/10 5V all the time IC5/13# 0V no switching BU1/14# 0.5V no switching
With OE functionality expect adress lines work.
Re: Settings for AT49LV001N
Mr.Ezo i checked BU1/14 R15 was opened now I have these readings
A22 to a18-31 are ok now
CE-22 to A11-25 are ok now
A10-23 BU3/11 is ok now too
but OE-24 is not switching the 5V are not longer in BU3/12 now is 0V IC7/10 0V,IC5/13 5V no switching at all ,BU1/14 5V no switching too
OE D7-21 to 13-DO not switching 0.5V BU3/1
I'm stuck now i recheked several times and no more mistakes

Re: Settings for AT49LV001N
Keep pin BU1/14 alone, cut line from it temporary. Recheck OE functionality with BU1/14 voltage changes. Restore line to IC5/14, check. Replace IC5 4503.
Re: Settings for AT49LV001N
Tnx for answer Mr.Ezo ok I isolated BU1/14 from pcb and checked OE-24 and no changes, but I want to mention I have 5v on BU1/14 isolated and I have 5V on the other side, the one which is connected to pcb that goes to IC5/14 and R15 10K.
Let me tell you if i pull out R15 10K i have always 5V on BU3/12 which is the line of OE-24 right.Another thing I build Ezoflash V 4.3 the one that dont use R-Pack 10K*9 and dont use the R15 10K ,then I added R15 10K to cut 5v from Bu3/12 and added R-pack 10k*9 which is the difference between 4.3 and 4.4 pcb i used the new transistors on the 4.4 version on the 4.3 version.
I guess Bu3/12 with 5v all the time is making the whole mess ,i changed 7404 and 4014 with differents chips and same result,I tested both 4503 in my ezoser wich is working 100%.maybe this explanation will help to figure out what's the problem is.
I wait for your answer and many thanx for been patient with me.

Re: Settings for AT49LV001N
Check paralel port extension cable connections , attention to pin 14 Auto.
Change paralel port settings in BIOS from ECP to Normal.
Report what voltage on IC7(74HC04) /pins 11, 10, 16

Re: Settings for AT49LV001N
Hi Mr.Ezo first of all I want to apologize for making you work extra time for my mistakes._You was right and I was wrong (feel silly about it).As you mention in your guide the Lpt cable is 1to 1,my mistake was i wired from 1 to 13 (12 and 13 are useless),then i wired from 15 to 25 and left pin14 unconnected( pin14 is the one that works and 15 is useless) after checking the pcb for shorts cut traces even bad IC's at last you mentioned that left pin 14 unsolder and check if changes (that was the clue),i checked the LPt cable and realized the problem.
Now all the measurements are ok 100% as your guide point ,now I tried to program flash AT49LV001N with JP2 ,JP4 and get these readings Manufacture 0x00 [.....]
Device code 0x22
I'm not sure if the flash chip is ok i took it from an unworking radio ,but i dunno if i can get the ID even the flash is bad,i rechecked all connection from programmer to adapter as upper picture shows, cables are about 2 inches long from adapter to chip .
Now I'm sure programmer is working ok cuz all testing gives same as guide points.
Many tnx again for your time

Re: Settings for AT49LV001N
I do not recomend wired LPT cable, wired programmer connections to parallel flash.
I can't grant programmer fuctionality and signal compatibilty .
